What You’ll Do
The Member Services Sales Supervisor is entrusted with Membership sales and servicing at the Front Gate of the Zoo, in the lobby of the Aquarium and by phone in the call center. The Supervisor trains and leads the Membership Associate team in the daily operation, ensuring that we provide an exceptional member experience.
Day to Day Responsibilities
· Responsible for opening/closing the Membership sales office, ensuring equipment is operational and ready for the day
· Embrace the mission of Audubon Nature Institute and communicate the value of Membership to internal and external guests in a positive, enthusiastic way.
· Coach and train the frontline team, leading by example and providing guidance on Member servicing with accuracy and efficiency.
· Work with members and associates to resolve Membership issues via email, phone or in person when Members visit our facilities.
· Ensure a smooth daily shift, providing for breaks and lunches for team members.
· Open/close the office, ensuring daily sales and cash receipts are delivered to the vault. Responsible for adherence to vault and cash handling procedures.
· Effectively communicates the value of membership, using expert knowledge to potential members, and encouraging purchase of renewal and upgrade to existing members, with a smile.
· Acts as a cashier as needed, to sell memberships, upgrades and Member tickets, and provide member support with promotions and events
· Stay up to date with Audubon Internal Communications messages
· Attend all mandatory training sessions, either in person or online
· Manage daily cash, check and credit card payments at front gate and by phone while adhering to Audubon’s Cash Handling policy. Closes all daily sales accurately, notating any discrepancies clearly, handling cash & provide change without error
· Maintains the quality and integrity of Member information through accurate record keeping, information gathering and data entry.
· Utilizes computer system to perform Membership sales and servicing. Responsible for maintaining a highly organized, neat and professional workspace. Stocks office and ticket booth with necessary supplies and incentives.
· Accept other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Director of member services.

What We’re Looking For
Must Haves:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Three years cash handling, customer service and sales experience required
· Ability to follow high customer service, quality and image standards
· Positive attitude, enthusiastic and upbeat.
· Ability to work well under pressure, with good communication and conflict resolution skills.
· Basic math, spelling and typing skills necessary
· Willingness and ability to work weekends, holidays and special events as necessary.
· Ability to act with discretion and good judgement in making decisions
· Ability to work with minimal supervision and occasional direction.
Nice-to-Haves:
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
· Affinity for animals preferred
