Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret regulatory changes relevant to our industry and ensure the company’s operations align with applicable laws and standards.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures to address regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Training & Awareness: Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Internal Audits: Plan and conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance with established policies and procedures, and prepare reports with recommendations for improvements.
- Investigations: Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues and complaints, working closely with legal and other relevant departments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including reports, audits, and training sessions.
- Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and manage communication regarding compliance matters.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCEP, CISM) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to our industry (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX, etc.).
- Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in compliance management software and tools is a plus.
- Traits: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
