Job Summary: The Director of IT will lead and oversee the IT department, ensuring the streamlined operation of the IT infrastructure in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The Director of IT will work closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.

- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.
- Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals.
- Lead the IT department in operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating resource allocation.
- Team Management:
- Manage, mentor, and provide leadership to IT staff.
- Ensure the IT team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to support current and future business requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Project Management:
- Direct and prioritize IT projects and manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems.
- Oversee the management of all IT projects and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure the security of IT systems and data, and oversee compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze technology and industry trends to develop and deliver technology solutions.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
- Act as the primary liaison for the IT department with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the purchase of hardware and software products.
- Ensure IT expenditures align with the budgetary constraints and strategic objectives of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with managing IT budgets and financial planning.
- In-depth knowledge of IT security standards and best practices.
- Experience with cloud computing and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Certification in relevant IT management or security areas (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, PMP).
