Job Title: Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager

Job Overview

The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will oversee the organization’s financial planning processes, driving strategic decision-making and ensuring financial performance aligns with corporate goals. This role involves leading a team of FP&A professionals, managing complex financial modeling and analysis, and providing critical insights to senior leadership. The Senior FP&A Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding the company’s financial strategy, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the FP&A team, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff to build a high-performing function.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive financial models, budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial planning with strategic business objectives.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs), to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all financial data, reports, and forecasts.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve financial planning processes, tools, and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to provide insights and foresight into business planning.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with various departments to ensure alignment on financial targets and business objectives.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of financial dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time insights into the company’s financial health.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting within a complex business environment.
  • Strong proficiency in financial planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing high-performing FP&A teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and guide executive decision-making.
  • Deep knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to drive financial planning that supports organizational growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
