Customer Support - Administrative Assistant
The County of Augusta is accepting applications for the position of Customer Support - Administrative Assistant for the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center located in Lyndhurst, Virginia. This is a public shelter owned by Augusta County and the Cities of Staunton and Waynesboro.
This position’s responsibilities include, but not limited to upholding the mission of the shelter; serving as a receptionist and providing customer support services; screens visitors, telephone calls and incoming mail, incoming emails; assisting the public with fee collection, releases of animals, adoptions, stray and surrendered animals; and maintains files and records. Work performed under the supervision of the Operations Manager.
The preferred candidate will have graduated from high school with experience in customer service in an office setting; ability to operate standard office equipment; strong knowledge of Microsoft computer software products and ability to work with associates and the general public in a professional manner.
The hiring range is $34,422 - $36,143 depending on qualifications. The County offers an excellent benefit package.
