Job Summary:
The Barreling and Bottling Specialist is responsible for the meticulous handling of our spirits during the barreling and bottling stages. This role involves ensuring the quality and integrity of our products while maintaining safety and efficiency in our Rickhouse and Distillery operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the distilling industry.
Key Responsibilities
Barreling:
· Prepare barrels for filling, ensuring they meet quality standards.
· Unload and store barrels at the Rickhouse
· Fill barrels with distilled spirits, following precise measurements and protocols.
· Seal and label barrels accurately, maintaining detailed records of contents and storage locations.
· Monitor aging process and periodically test spirits to ensure quality and consistency.
Bottling:
· Operate and maintain bottling equipment, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
· Fill bottles with spirits, adhering to strict quality control standards.
· Label and package bottles, ensuring correct labeling and packaging standards are met.
· Perform regular quality checks to ensure the integrity and presentation of the final product.
General Duties:
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the Rickhouse and bottling areas.
· Assist in inventory management, including tracking and reporting stock levels.
· Collaborate with the production team to meet production goals and deadlines.
· Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in distilling or related fields is a plus.
· 18 Years of Age
· Experience in a distillery, brewery, winery, or similar production environment is preferred.
· Knowledge of barreling and bottling processes and equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects regularly.
· Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
· Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
