The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager supervises accountants and is directly responsible for ensuring that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position manages to tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and works closely with analytics team members during month-end close and audit. The Accounting Manager will have contact with senior-level management and the organization’s key leaders (Department Directors and Managers) which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or another related field required.
CPA preferred.
Licensure/Certification
HFMA certification preferred.
Experience
Five years prior supervisory experience in the healthcare financial reporting/general ledger area required.

- Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.

- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
