What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Director Cardiovascular Services position at Augusta Health Brand?
The Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for direct management, performance, implementation, and outcome monitoring of Cardiovascular Services. Departments include Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab, Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab, and Non-Invasive Vascular Lab. Also, responsible for implementing strategic planning for on-going business development activities, developing marketing and outreach strategies, facilitating decision making process with Medical Directors, coordinating with nursing units in telemetry, emergency, home care, clinics and cardiac units for patient triage, physician needs and overall care delivery and developing, reviewing, and achieving annual cardiac and vascular service-line budgets. The Service Line Director will plan, organize, and direct the departmental operations in accordance with established policies of Augusta Health and in compliance with accreditation, and state/federal regulatory requirements
Requirements
- BSN required
- MBA or MSHA preferred
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS within 6 months of employment
- Current and valid RN license in VA or from a RN compact state.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Nurse Executive, Board Certified (NE-BC) preferred
- 5 years of service line leadership with Cath Lab management experience.
- 3 years of senior Cardiovascular Leadership experience with a background in clinical office management.
Skills
- Strong leadership, organizational management skills, financial analysis, programmatic development, physician and community relations, excellent written and oral communication, knowledge of the healthcare industry and workflows.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications. Proficiency on Microsoft Excel
- A successful track record in directing staff, developing talent and leadership, and shaping a customer service culture.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, process improvement skills, and independent judgment and business acumen in order to facilitate needed change. Ability to lead change and achieve support for change; builds consensus. A proven strategic thinker with ability to see big picture and opportunities.
