What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic I position at Augusta Health Brand?
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the maintenance mechanic will perform and track minor repairs and maintenance at Augusta Health Lifetime Fitness pertaining to general plumbing, electrical and cosmetic projects and all fitness equipment. Inspect hall, stairways, courtyard kitchen and other facility areas and replace lights and make minor repairs. Collaborate with the Augusta Health Maintenance Department to ensure proper parameters of job scope, taking direction as needed from the Director of Maintenance to ensure an effective, safe environment for members and staff. Accommodate customer needs and services in a concentrated team effort to maintain cleanliness and order throughout the facility. Collaborate with supervisor to ensure proper ordering of parts, preventative maintenance, and equipment malfunctions are attended to in a timely manner to enhance customer service. Striving for a 48-hour turn over of broken equipment. Perform duties in the aqua areas under the direction of the Maintenance Director and learn the mechanical processes under their direction

License Requirements
* Certification in CPR/AED by the American Heart Association
* Certification in Certified Pool and Spa Operator by the NSPF or comparable recognized national certification within 90 days of hire.

Essential Functions
* Operational Assignments:
• Assemble stock bins, lockers, chairs, and tables, file cabinets and other equipment as required.
• Inspect Lifetime Center at Augusta Health Lifetime, Courtyard Café and Outpatient Therapy on a regular and recurring schedule.
• Check, repair and report equipment malfunctions such as noisy bearings, broken belts, excessive vibrations; make minor adjustments and equipment settings; clean or change filters; oil or grease motor equipment settings; clean or change filters oil or grease motors occasionally; replace lights, repair broken fixtures and report potential hazards such as: trash accumulations and leaking pipes.
• Perform all P.M.’s and maintenance on all exercise equipment that would include treadmills, bikes, steppers, cross trainers, selectorized strength and Hammer equipment.
• Perform a wide variety of maintenance duties to include, but not limited to fitness equipment and minor repairs of cafe' equipment.
• Collaborate and repair aquatic areas under the direction of the Director of Maintenance to include therapy pool, fitness pool, spa, steam room and surroundings areas and equipment.
• Other duties deemed necessary by Management staff.

• Patiently wait for answer from management and vendors as needed.
• Liasion between vendors and management to pick up parts needed and deliveries made to facility.
• Coordinate P.O. and deliveries with Accounting Specialist in the business office.
