What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic II position at Augusta Health Brand?
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems at the main hospital building, AHOPP Building and as well as at all satellite facilities. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs various mechanical systems. Participates in the hospital preventive maintenance (PM) program.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of apprenticeship training course such as the Valley Votech program consisting of at least twelve (12) technical training courses preferred.
- Completion of other formal technical trade training from a Vocational School or Military Technical School.
Licensure/Certification
May have one or more certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years Hospital campus or commercial / industrial mechanical work experience with demonstrated troubleshooting and repair experience with air compressors, vacuum systems, boilers, valves, pumps, Plumbing and motors required.
- Demonstrated cross functional skills in Electrical and/or HVAC Systems required.
