The Device Clinic Specialist works in a highly specialized area that encompasses pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders and remote monitors. Position is Monday – Friday.

Daily Responsibilities
- Require time in the device clinic as well as in hospital device checks.
- Participates in the management of the device clinic's equipment and supplies.
- Functions as a resource regarding device/CRM issues.
- Encourages other staff members to develop and expand their CRM knowledge and skills.
- Participates in the department's QI processes.
- Works collaboratively with other departments to solve issues related to patient care, particularly when related to CRM issues.
- Educates patients and their families regarding device function and appropriate response to alarm conditions or other changes in device operation.
- Complete patient documentation in a timely manner.
- Helps maintain the device clinic schedule and patient database to provide optimal patient care and maximize productivity.
- Works closely with department management to ensure patient satisfaction is as high as possible as well as financial success.
- Associate's Degree
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS within 6 months of employment
- Cardiac experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation required, one year.
- IBHRE certification
- RN licensure
- Previous device clinic experience.
