Title: Service & RMA Technician
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Director of Operations
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00-3:30
Summary: This role will involve a combination of RMA (Return Material Authorization) processing and service-related tasks supporting our medical device manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical assembly, testing, and repair procedures with an aptitude for diagnostics.
Qualifications/Experience:
General
Be able to lift 50 lbs.
General Comfort with Computer Software, Programs, etc.
Good oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other
2 years of technical experience or equivalent preferred. Medical Manufacturing Experience a plus
Familiarity with GMP environment; Reading Schematics and machine/component assembly drawings.
Ability to read engineering drawings. CAD and/or drafting experience is a plus.
Utilize test equipment such as multi-meters, calipers, bore & ID gages, depth and height gages, Agilent data, loggers, etc.
Work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Receive and process RMA requests for medical devices and components.
Inspect returned items for defects and document findings.
Perform necessary repairs or replacements according to established procedures.
Coordinate with manufacturing engineers to ensure timely resolution of RMA issues.
Maintain accurate records of RMA activity and related documentation.
Assist in the assembly and testing of medical devices and components.
Repair, calibrate and maintain small tools, fixtures, and equipment used in the manufacturing processes.
Perform quality inspections on incoming materials.
Maintain Device and Material inspection records according to manufacturing and documentation practices recognized by US FDA and ISO organizations.
