Aunt Millie’s, a leader in the baking industry, is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to manage our human resources function at our Sidney, OH manufacturing facility! Reporting to our VP of Human Resources, you’ll play a key role in fostering a positive work environment while supporting the plant’s HR needs with guidance from corporate headquarters.

What You’ll Do
✅ Serve as the primary HR contact for the Sidney facility, acting as a liaison between employees, management, and corporate headquarters
✅ Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires
✅ Partner with local schools, colleges, and community organizations to build candidate pipelines and represent Aunt Millie’s at career fairs and local events
✅ Support staffing agency relationships, monitoring fill rates and turnover to ensure staffing needs are met
✅ Provide guidance to managers on hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations
✅ Address employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating complex matters as needed
✅ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regularly reviewing and updating employee handbooks, job descriptions, and HR practices
✅ Execute HR programs related to compensation, benefits, leave management, safety, recognition, and employee engagement
✅ Prepare and submit reports to corporate HR as required
✅ Maintain a visible presence on the production floor to engage with employees and address concerns
✅ Travel occasionally between plants or to corporate events (minimal travel required)
What You’ll Bring
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field—or equivalent experience
✔️ 3 years of experience in an HR role (PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus!)
✔️ Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
✔️ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
✔️ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a knack for prioritizing
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
✔️ Ability to work independently with integrity and maintain confidentiality
✔️ Willingness to work in an office located within a manufacturing facility, with exposure to high temperatures and dust when on the production floor
✔️ Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when needed
