What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Associate - Energy Investment position at Aurex Group?
Aurex Group is partnered with a Tier 1 international energy company looking to hire someone for their investments team. This team is responsible for making direct investments within the Oil and Gas sector (including midstream and upstream) and looking for an Associate/Senior Associate to join the Houston team.
Candidates with buy-side corporate development, private equity, or similar experience are encouraged to apply.
Job Description:
- Work with senior members of the investments team on financial due diligence, term sheets, deal origination, negotiation and deal execution.
- Provide analytical, transaction and management support to the team in the origination & execution of energy and infrastructure investments.
- Analyze and evaluate various investment structures, making recommendations to senior management.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent financial, statistical analysis and modelling skillset, as well as commercial stakeholder management & communication skills to execute transactions
- 5-10 years of experience in corporate development M&A, investment banking, principal investment, private equity or M&A, specific to natural resources O&G
- Ability to work with large amounts of data, construct models and interpret findings with minimal oversite.
- Use of various investment models in professional environment, including DCF valuation, FCF valuation, compound annual growth rate, cost of capital, three-statements, NPV and comparables analysis.
- Relevant industry experience
- Ability to work in Houston office.
- Bachelor's degree and outstanding academic record.
- Determination, self-discipline, attention to detail.
