Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a commitment to the highest level of confidentiality to serve members of a multigenerational Family Office at our Greenville location. This position provides the unique opportunity to support all financial aspects of a family with a strong history of business growth, community support, and philanthropic endeavors.
Skills
Work closely with Family Office Director, Corporate Accounting and CFO to ensure coordination and accurate recording of activity from multiple business entities that affect individual and trust financials. Ability to communicate effectively with all Family members and company associates, from Executive level to support staff, across all businesses. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and provide clear and accurate reports. Proficient with technology and ability to learn and utilize multiple software programs for accounting and report writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and record general ledger activity for Individuals, Trusts, the Foundation, and Family Office
- Reconcile and record all investment and bank activity for all accounts supported through the Family office. This requires working closely with Corporate Accounting to ensure coordination and accurate recording of all transactions between operating businesses and the individuals/trusts that own an interest in the business.
- Maintain and record activity of intercompany loan accounts. Compile reports to verify are in balance and resolve differences. Calculate and record interest in compliance with the note agreement terms.
- Track owner property and life insurance policies and ensure timely premium payments.
- Create Monthly Real Estate P&L and report to the property owner.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for the individuals served by the Family office.
- Work with the Director and CFO to prepare the annual personal financial statement
- Calculate and record loan guarantee fees annually.
Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year College or University; Understanding of accounting principles and processes with solid knowledge of intercompany accounting, computer skills, communication skills, problem resolution. Minimum 2-3 year strong work experience
