Join Aurora Behavioral Health System and become a part of the state's largest free-standing behavioral health system. Our Level 1, acute care psychiatric facility located in Glendale is licensed to treat adults and adolescents for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. Our team is dedicated to the wellness of individuals, their families and the community through prevention, intervention and treatment.
The experienced Behavioral Health Tech, BHT is responsible and accountable for assisting the RN in-patient care. Under the supervision of the RN, the BHT will assist with patients' activities of daily living. The BHT is also an active participant in daily shift rounds and in the treatment plan process and will assist in creating and maintaining a therapeutic milieu. The BHT will gather information and provide crisis intervention to assist the RN in the implementation of the patient treatment and care plan. The BHT will conduct activities / groups as assigned by the Charge Nurse / Therapist to support treatment goals and objectives. The BHT will ensure a safe environment.
All BHT duties will be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the hospital as well as state and regulatory agencies.

Requirements :
Certified in TO, CPR and First Aid Training or completed within first 30 days of hire.
Must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or verifiable equivalent
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical
- Must be eligible for a fingerprint clearance card
