Aurora’s Software Solutions team is building the global investment analytics platform for the energy transition. Widely adopted by leading energy companies and investors in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific, the platform changes the way that energy market analytics is performed and delivered; and we’re launching soon in the US, to complement our existing research & advisory offerings here.
To ensure that our products meet the complex needs of our clients, we are assembling a global team of power market experts who specialize in the application of our software products.
We are currently looking for an ambitious first hire to join us in Austin, who would work alongside our product teams during the launch of Chronos, our battery valuation software, supporting our initial clients in ERCOT and CAISO.
This is a keystone role that will be pivotal in building and developing the software support team in the US, as we develop our suite of software products. The successful candidate will combine nodal power markets knowledge with keen analytical ability, excellent communication and a flair for client-facing interactions. They will be a fast learner who excels in a highly cross-functional role and is able to navigate the complexities of power markets forecasting and nodal battery valuations, and to communicate fluently on these topics.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, develop and build the team that will support the rollout of Aurora’s software product suite in the US
- Work with senior clients at leading developers, utilities and funds to help them integrate Chronos into their strategic investment decisions, advising them on how to extract maximum value from the product
- Deliver site-specific nodal battery valuations in ERCOT and CAISO as you advise clients developing and transacting batteries
- Work with the software product teams throughout the product development cycle, beta-testing new features, performing feature-bridging analyses, and feeding into product roadmaps to prioritise features based on client needs
- Train, support and advise clients on how to optimize their use of Chronos
