Aurora Health and Rehabilitation is looking for a dedicated and creative Activity Assistant to complete our team!

The Activity Assistant is responsible for assessing, selecting, organizing and implementing of activity and recreational services to address the individualized needs and interest of the residents.

Hours/Shifts:
- Full Time (8am-4pm)
Day in the Life / Expectations
- Assist in creating the monthly activities calendar for facility residents
- Encourage participation in group and individual activities
- Maintains precaution and limitation list on each resident
- Assist in organizing and supervising the volunteer program to include recruitment and training
- Assist with Resident Council Meetings
- Assist in planning community activities to include resident, family and facility participation
- Work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Activities Certification, preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- High integrity and well-grounded work ethic
- Agility and flexibility with changing priorities
- Team-oriented and a practical team-player
- Professional demeanor
- At least one year experience providing care and services in long-term care (preferred)
