Aurora House is seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be integral to maintaining the financial health of our portfolio companies by managing key accounting functions and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Integrity is at the core of everything we do, and you will be expected to demonstrate the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. You will work closely with the Controller to execute day-to-day financial operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Monitor and reconcile cash flow, assisting in the strategic scheduling of payments and follow-ups on receivables, always prioritizing transparency and trustworthiness.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, upholding the highest level of integrity in reporting.
- Support the development and implementation of financial processes and procedures aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, with a focus on ethical practices.
- Assist the Controller in conducting financial analysis to provide insights that aid in decision-making and improve operational efficiency, ensuring all actions are guided by integrity and trust.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining the utmost respect for confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes, contributing to the overall success of the finance team while upholding the principles of integrity and trust.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a dynamic business environment.
- Proven track record of ethical conduct and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of integrity and trust in all financial dealings.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Strong understanding of cash flow management and financial best practices.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining trust and integrity.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
