Position: Accountant
Location: North Charleston, SC
Schedule: Onsite, Monday Friday, 8 AM 5 PM
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
Job Summary:
NOW CFO is partnering with a distinctive and highly regarded cookware manufacturer to find a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, and expertise in NetSuite. This exclusive search offers a rare opportunity to contribute to a respected and growing company known for its commitment to quality craftsmanship, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and seamless accounting operations.
Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including bank reconciliations and supporting reviews.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings.

Establish and enforce accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Conduct internal audits and maintain accurate financial records.

Serve as primary contact for external auditors.

Manage ADP payroll functions.

Provide inventory support and related accounting tasks.
Qualifications:

5 years of accounting experience.

Experience with NetSuite (highly preferred).

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).

Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

CPA or CPA candidate (preferred).
Benefits:
Health, Dental and Vision Insurance: The Company maintains health, dental and vison insurance plans. Full-time employees can participate in the plan(s) following 60 days of employment. The current health insurance provider is Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The company pays 65% of the employee premium, any additional premium related to dependent coverage is the responsibility of the employee. Dental and vision coverage is provided by Companion. Premiums related to this coverage are the responsibility of the employee.
Retirement Plan: Our client offers participation in a 401(K) plan. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the plan after 6 months of employment. The plan provides matching contributions from the Company. Matching contributions are made as follows: 100% on the first 3% contributed and 50% on the next 2% contributed.
Paid Time Off: The Company provides for 14 days of Paid Time Off (PTO). PTO is an all-purpose time off policy for eligible employees to use for vacation, illness, injury, or personal business.
Observed Holidays and Floating Holiday: The Company observes the following holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and MLK Day. In addition to these holidays, the Company offers 1 floating holiday.
