JOB SUMMARY:
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator & Programmer to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for operating CNC routers (Multicam 3000 and 5000) and programming production files using EnRoute software to accurately cut parts for a variety of custom signage projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shop orders, specifications, and drawings to plan daily tasks.
- Review and verify job files for accuracy; identify and communicate design or manufacturing issues.
- Create production files from design-provided Cut Files stored on the company server.
- Use EnRoute software to program CNC routers, including creating layout files, tool paths, and G-code.
- Ensure efficient, cost-effective material usage and minimize waste through optimized layout planning.
- Perform routine machine setups including drilling, grooving, facing, and milling.
- Collaborate with the Digital Printing Department on any signage patterns required.
- Maintain tools and equipment through regular preventive maintenance; report any malfunctions.
- Accurately track and log work time by job number and department.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate job progress, issues, and timelines with the Department Lead.
- Sign off on completed job tickets and maintain detailed records.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating and programming CNC routers (Multicam experience preferred).
- Proficiency with EnRoute or similar CNC programming software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of feed/speed optimization and material characteristics.
- Familiarity with calibration tools and basic math for measuring/checking parts.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
