Currently, Aurora seeks to hire a full-time Maintenance Supervisor.
Reports to: Director Maintenance and EH&S
Position Summary: Seeking a hands-on, experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This individual will oversee and ensure maintenance programs are executed in a safe, efficient, reliable manner. Responsibilities include hands-on maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment and building along with supervision of 3 Electro-Mechanic Technicians. You will prioritize maintenance work, assign work orders, and maintain eMaintenance system. Strong computer skills necessary along with extremely strong electrical and mechanical background is required. Ability to motivate and work with fellow team members is crucial.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct mechanical, operational, and electrical issues within manufacturing facility.
- Take appropriate steps to prevent and reduce maintenance downtime by overseeing Preventative Maintenance plans.
- Evaluate and maintain (along with others within department) the critical spare parts program.
- Execution of plant maintenance and expansion projects.
- Develop, plan and allocate resources for longer term maintenance projects.
- Schedule and communicate work with Production Department.
- Manage and supervise Electro-Mechanics. Duties include training oversight, employee development, performance management, and monitoring of daily work.
- Assist with accurate tracking of key maintenance performance parameters including machine uptime, downtime, PM programs etc.
- Review and approve expenditures of maintenance department to assure within budget.
- Position is on site at manufacturing plant in Yorkville, IL.
- Available on call as needed to maintain plant and facilities.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, or efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Expert mechanical and electrical skills
- Experience in electrical maintenance including Controls and PLC
- Technical maintenance certifications helpful
- Engineering degree helpful
- 12 years related maintenance job experience within manufacturing setting
- 5 years supervisory experience within a maintenance setting
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and time management skills
- ISO 9001/ISO 14001 knowledge helpful
- Experience with maintenance software: inventory management, labor tracking, machine history helpful.
