Key Responsibilities
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electrical automation equipment, including motor control circuits, drives, and PLC systems.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned areas, gaining a comprehensive understanding of equipment to develop Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans that minimize downtime.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including rebuilds and calibrations, in accordance with work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Monitor equipment performance during production start-up, changeovers, and new installations.
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and promote the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, along with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), USDA, and OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED; Trade School diploma or certifications are preferred.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Demonstrated urgency and efficiency in task completion, especially in a high-speed production setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with PLC experience being desirable.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); SAP experience is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team while maintaining effective communication.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a capacity to mentor others.
- Willingness to work in varied environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
- Must have the capability to work 40 hours per week on an assigned shift, with availability for daily and weekend overtime as required.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in schematic and drawing interpretation.
- Ability to read blueprints effectively.
- Expertise in repairing electrical equipment, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), multi-phase electric motors, and relays.
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean concepts, emphasizing continuous improvement, teamwork, and creative problem-solving for equipment enhancements.
- Competence in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Mechanical repair and replacement skills for machine components.
- Understanding of PLC logic controls and motor control logic.
- In-depth knowledge of Root Cause Analysis methodologies.

Employee may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures that range from below zero (0) degrees Fahrenheit to over ninety (90) degrees Fahrenheit. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While in the plant, the employee is required to utilize the required personal protective.
