What are the responsibilities and job description for the Riding School Instructor position at Aurum Equestrian?

Do you want to help build and grow a riding school that will shape the next generation of riders? At Aurum Equestrian, we focus on building and developing the next generation of riders. We teach riders from their first time around horses through ready to buy a horse and get serious horse showing. Our program is heavily horsemanship focused. We teach the foundations of hunter/jumper, dressage and eventing and match our graduates up with the program that will fit their needs wants and desires to ensure they stay riding for life. Your name will never be in lights, but will always be remembered as the person who taught them to post the trot and helped them develop a passion for horses and to you that means so much more.
What we are looking for in an instructor
What you will do:
· Teach introductory riding lessons on our well schooled lesson horses
· Teach unmounted horsemanship lessons
· Help with basic barn chores and duties and occasional projects
· Help tack and untack horses when needed
· Do schooling rides for our lesson horses
· Lead IEA show team
· Organize schooling shows
· Organize testing for the riding school
· Help identify talent in both potential lesson horses and future assistant instructors
Who you are:
· Lifelong horse person who is obsessed with horses
· Great conversationalist, upbeat and positive attitude
· Organized, responsible, detailed, reliable and fun loving
· Kind, accountable, trainable, coachable, open minded, and customer service oriented
· Eligible to work in the US
