Job Summary:
The Food Service Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of our food service operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, food quality, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills to maintain a welcoming and efficient dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning & Food Preparation: Create and manage current menus, ensure high-quality food preparation, and adapt offerings based on guest preferences and seasonal availability.
- Leadership & Team Management: Train and supervise food service employees. Develop work schedules and oversee employee performance.
- Inventory & Equipment Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, inspect equipment, and ensure proper maintenance to avoid disruptions.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce food safety regulations, maintain sanitization standards, and ensure compliance with local health and safety guidelines.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional guest service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee food presentation, maintain the food service budget, set appropriate food prices, and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Problem Solving: Handle customer and employee complaints efficiently and professionally.
- Feedback & Improvement: Review guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in food service management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in managing budgets and controlling costs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Capacity to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
