AuSable Valley Community Mental Health Authority offers opportunities for individuals to make a difference in the lives of community members by providing beneficial services. The organization provides State funded public mental health services to Iosco, Ogemaw, and Oscoda counties in northern Michigan.
Services are provided to people with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability (I/DD), a Serious Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), and/or those who may be Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED).
The goal of this position is to ensure assigned SIS interviews are completed in a timely, reliable, and respectful manner consistent with agency philosophy and standards as well as American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) standards and validity pertaining to the Supports Intensity Scale tool.
This SIS interviewer is responsible for scheduling, rendering service, and completing any related documentation within established timelines. Additionally, this role provides Community Living Supports to adults with Mental Illness in Iosco, Ogemaw, and Oscoda Counties as needed.
Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel throughout the Board's coverage area and, at times, around different areas of the state. A valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and good driving record are required. U.S. citizenship or necessary papers allowing legal work in the United States are also required.
A Pre-Employment Background will be conducted in the following areas: Criminal, Driving, Educational, and Employment record verifications/inquiries. Individuals with Lived Experience with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities or substance use disorders are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

- Possession of Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field, or four years of equivalent work experience in a related field
- At least one year experience with individuals that have developmental or intellectual disabilities
- Computer Experience
- Possession of a driver's license valid in the State of Michigan, vehicle insurance as required by Michigan Law, and a good driving record.
- U.S. Citizen or possession of necessary papers allowing holder to work legally in the United States.
