Database Administrator

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a variety of programming and scripting languages, with a focus on Visual Manufacturing (Visual Macros), T-SQL, and VBA. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing custom functionalities, automating processes, and managing system integrations for our ERP and other business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Custom System Development:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Visual Manufacturing (Visual Macros) customizations using VBScript to support business processes.
• Create and manage T-SQL Views, Triggers, and Stored Procedures to simplify reporting, extend functionality, and manage custom database behaviors.
• Write and maintain batch scripts to automate and manage processes at the Windows level.
• Use VBA to provide custom functionality for Microsoft software (e.g., Excel, Access).

ASC 606 End of Month (EOM) Reports:

• Create new folders on the T drive for monthly reports and organize the data appropriately.
• Run and troubleshoot SQL queries to identify and fix issues related to ASC 606 costing for parts.
• Generate and save reports (backlog, WIP balance, On-Hand Profit) to the T drive after performing necessary formatting and analysis.
• Maintain and enhance the EOM Reporting Process and ensure the integrity of data.

Database Management and Troubleshooting:

• Write and maintain complex SQL queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures to meet business requirements.
• The installation and configuration of MS SQL Server versions 2019 and later.
• The installation and configuration of MS SQL Server Express.
• Rollout SQL security updates and patching
• Ability to write and execute SQL scripts as needed to maintain database integrity and performance.
• Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of SQL maintenance jobs and backups, troubleshooting as needed.
• Review and manage the KnowB4 PhishER phishing identification tool, categorizing emails as appropriate.

System Administration & Support:

• Assist with PC builds and system configurations as necessary.
• Provide technical support and help monitor MatterMost for IT-related issues and user requests.
• Support efforts for CMMC compliance and ensure IT systems are secure and compliant.
• Assist with SalesForce issues, working with third-party developers and managing user accounts.
• Support the team with third-party applications like the NCMR web app and other customizations.

ERP System Administration (Visual):

• Administer and support the Visual Manufacturing (Visual) system by creating and managing user accounts, permissions, and licenses.
• Install and maintain ERP-related software including Synoptix, Smart Views, and BOM Exploder.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Visual-related issues, including user reported problems, connection problems, and SQL/Visual lockouts.
• Work closely with Infor support to create and manage trouble tickets for system issues and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain Visual employee records for labor ticketing and scanning.

Custom Application Support (MS Access/Excel):

• Develop, update, and maintain custom MS Access and Excel applications, including tools like FPY, Ausco Financial Plan, Customer Portal, and Positive Pay File Creation Utility.

Software Upgrades and Maintenance:

• Plan, schedule, and execute updates and upgrades for Visual ERP, Synoptix, Smart Views, and other related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and patching to ensure systems are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
• Perform other duties as assigned related to infrastructure programming, IT support, and systems administration.

Required Technical Skills:

• Proficient in VBScript for creating and maintaining custom Visual Manufacturing (Visual Macros).
• Strong experience with T-SQL, including writing Views, Triggers, and Stored Procedures to optimize and extend database functionality.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio
• Hands-on experience with MS Batch Scripting to automate Windows processes.
• Expertise in VBA for developing custom solutions in Excel and Access.
• Familiarity with SQL Server maintenance tasks, including backups, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
• Experience in creating and maintaining custom reports and queries for ASC 606 and related financial reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SalesForce administration and third-party integration.
• Familiarity with CMMC compliance and data security best practices.
• Familiarity with MS.NET framework
• Ability to troubleshoot and support network and Windows server issues.
• Previous experience with Visual Manufacturing or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Linux OS a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in a similar infrastructure programming or IT support role.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various teams and departments.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
