REPORTS TO: Security & Technology Specialist (Visitor Control) I / II
SUPERVISES: Not applicable
AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of administrative duties in support of the organization’s Security Department ensuring compliance with company policies, security procedures, and government regulations
- Process and maintain records related to security access, visitor logs, and badge issuance
- Maintains various security and access systems
- Process U.S. persons visit requests
- Verify proof of citizenship documents
- Collaborate with internal and external teammates and partners to ensure efficient on-boarding of Austal and Contractor/Subcontractor personnel
- Process incoming visits via DISS *requires security clearance
- Maintain DISS spreadsheets and submit to customer/teammate for approvals *requires security clearance
- Arrange and coordinate visits with authorized teammates
- Register guests in visitor logs and databases
- Utilize various software programs for data entry and badge creation
- Create/Activate/Re-activate access badges
- Update/Change/Troubleshoot credentials and access permissions for badges
- Receive and file Guard House paperwork
- Perform clerical and administrative support duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
- 5 years of relevant administrative, clerical, or customer service experience in a fast paced working environment required; security related experience preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance
- Defense Information System for Security (DISS) experience or training preferred
- Intermediate proficiency in MS 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) - able to learn new software programs quickly
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and occasional holidays in support of department and customer needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service driven performance
- Able to multi-task and pivot in a fast paced, responsive environment
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance.
- Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Able to provide proof of US Person Status
- No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
- No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
- Willing to submit to a drug screen
- Willing to submit to a background check
