REPORTS TO : Security & Technology Specialist (Visitor Control) I / II

SUPERVISES : Not applicable

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Performs a variety of administrative duties in support of the organization’s Security Department ensuring compliance with company policies, security procedures, and government regulations
  • Process and maintain records related to security access, visitor logs, and badge issuance
  • Maintains various security and access systems
  • Process U.S. persons visit requests
  • Verify proof of citizenship documents
  • Collaborate with internal and external teammates and partners to ensure efficient on-boarding of Austal and Contractor / Subcontractor personnel
  • Process incoming visits via DISS
  • requires security clearance
  • Maintain DISS spreadsheets and submit to customer / teammate for approvals
  • requires security clearance
  • Arrange and coordinate visits with authorized teammates
  • Register guests in visitor logs and databases
  • Utilize various software programs for data entry and badge creation
  • Create / Activate / Re-activate access badges
  • Update / Change / Troubleshoot credentials and access permissions for badges
  • Receive and file Guard House paperwork
  • Perform clerical and administrative support duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE :

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of relevant administrative, clerical, or customer service experience in a fast paced working environment required; security related experience preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance
  • Defense Information System for Security (DISS) experience or training preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) - able to learn new software programs quickly
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and occasional holidays in support of department and customer needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service driven performance
  • Able to multi-task and pivot in a fast paced, responsive environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    LIAISES WITH : All departments, vendors, visitors, tenants and teammates

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance.
