What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial Worker position at Austin Aquarium?
We are looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our buildings and carry out cleaning and maintenance. The goal is to keep our buildings in a clean and orderly condition. Please know this position is labor intensive.
Responsibilities
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc)
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven working experience as a janitor
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Integrity and ability to work independently
