What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation and Janitorial Worker position at Staffmark Group?
Are you looking for a stable job with a company that values hard work and dedication? Join our team as a Sanitation and Janitorial Worker, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for a leading distributor of chips and snacks.
Schedule: Multiple shifts with start times between 9am - 12am. 24/7 facility. Will work 4 days each week, including a Saturday or a Sunday. 10-12 hours per day.
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00/hr. (Depending on shift)
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize warehouse floors, walls, shelving, and work areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Operate floor scrubber to clean large surfaces and maintain safe equipment use.
- Remove debris, dust, and spills from warehouse areas, including storage racks and loading docks.
- Empty trash bins, dispose of waste properly, and follow recycling protocols.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces like door handles, equipment controls, and break rooms.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying supervisor when inventory is low.
- Report pest sightings, safety hazards, or structural damage to the supervisor and assist with deep-cleaning projects as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous janitorial or sanitation experience in a warehouse or food-related environment is a plus.
- Comfortable operating a floor scrubber (training provided).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs, attention to detail and strong cleanliness standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following instructions.
