What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect position at Austin Architects?
Austin Architects is looking for a licensed architect with a minimum of ten years’ experience in all phases of design and construction administration. Key attributes include a strong interest in helping develop and integrate traditional and contemporary building technologies into projects and in the firm’s practice. Candidates must demonstrate a range of experience working closely with colleagues and clients, consultants and contractors. Good graphic and presentation skills are essential, as is fluency with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
Responsibilities are wide-ranging:
- Meeting with clients
- Developing project proposals and presenting at interviews
- Researching and establishing project feasibility through programming, assessment regulatory research, design and scope definition, cost estimate and implementation review
- Leading technical development from concept design through completion
- Preparing drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Expanding the firm’s experience in Passive House design and construction
- Coordinating construction administration process
- Providing support and mentorship to colleagues
This is expected to be a full-time position with benefits and compensation commensurate with experience. However, we will consider qualified candidates with less than full time availability.
