What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Cable Puller position at Austin AVS?
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cable Puller to join our growing team! The right candidate should possess the skills to properly pull and run various types of low voltage cabling (Cat6/Cat6A), cable terminations and use a variety of tools and equipment to make sure that the wiring is secure and in compliance with any applicable codes. Cable Puller will also troubleshoot any issues that arise with the wiring, and will be responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. The Cable Puller must be knowledgeable about proper installations and regulations, and must possess the necessary physical strength to perform the job.
Cable Puller Duties
- Pull cables, wires, and conduits through walls, floors, and ceilings
- Use hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and conduit benders
- Connect power, video, and communication cables to outlets
- Install equipment such as cable trays, racks, and frames
- Cut and strip wire and cable
- Test and troubleshoot installations
- Maintain records of installed equipment and materials
- Comply with relevant safety regulations and building codes
- Clean up all debris on the work site upon leaving each day
