This Project Superintendent position is responsible for supervising all aspects of construction on a project and is accountable for ensuring compliance with construction documents, specifications, codes, schedules as well as controlling cost to ensure the project is constructed within the budgets provided. The Superintendent must provide the necessary leadership to keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly on the project assigned, or their designated section of responsibility by establishing work tasks to be completed by subcontractor and their crews. This position reviews and controls labor and material costs associated with changes to the project scope and ensures that work being done by subcontractors is accomplished at the lowest cost possible. Continual inspection of the work being completed in accordance with the construction documents is required.
- Normally requires a 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 3 years’ experience as a Unit Superintendent OR 8 years’ experience as a General Forman or Forman in a specific trade.
- Frequently work in a loud environment.
- Frequently work outdoors in high and low temperatures.
- Occasionally may work in high and/or precarious places.
- Occasionally work indoors.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel.
- Must be able to travel to and work at the project site, this travel may be up to 100%.

- Administer directives of the Construction Manager to subcontractors to ensure the construction progress is sufficient to maintain the project schedule.
- Maintain, update and add sufficient detail to the Project Schedule to ensure compliance by the Subcontractor.
- Oversee the daily activities of the Subcontractors to provide the leadership required to complete construction operations within the established Construction Schedule and budget.
- Inspect work as it is being installed to ensure compliance with all codes, regulations, construction documents and specifications in order to protect the interest of the Company and its Clients.
- Develop and maintain good labor relations with the Foremen to limit problems on the jobsite as work progresses.
- Develop and maintain good relations with Clients and their representatives to ensure their satisfaction and to promote additional or future work.
- Promote safety in all construction operations to eliminate accidents on the jobsite.
