The Director of Programs will provide input on the strategy and success of multiple connected projects.
Organizational Context: Austin Childcare Providers' Network (ACPN) is a 501c3 organization. Founded in Chicago's Austin community area, today's ACPN has grown into a network of 78 providers representing 13 center-based programs and 65 family childcare home programs. These programs serve 1,700 children of color in Austin, Bellwood, Cicero, Humboldt Park, Maywood, and other communities. ACPN's growth in the early childcare and education arena is due to productive and mutually supportive partnerships with networks, organizations, and leaders working to improve the quality of life of children and families. Spurred by these partnerships, ACPN has continued a level of steady growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Initiate and set goals for all the Austin Childcare Providers Network’s programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization.
- Assist the Executive Director in planning programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes.
- Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvement in the programs.
- Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of ACPN’s policy and procedures.
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies for all ACPN programs.
- Develop or implement policies, standards, and procedures for work.
Other Duties:
- Maintain communication with all ACPN project managers and program teams by attending weekly team meetings.
- Supervise all programs and contractors involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems.
- Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed in the all program. Work to align policy and procedures with all ACPN programs.
- Read reports prepared by all ACPN contractors to determine progress and issues.
- Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports that will be presented at a monthly meeting with the Executive Director.
- Assist the Executive Director with developing the quarterly board meeting documents (i.e.) report summaries, notes and agenda.
- Assist ED with developing quarterly Provider network meetings, notes and agenda.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $66,000.00 per year
