Position Summary:
The Director of Programs is responsible for developing, managing, and scaling Watts of Love's programs to maximize sustainable growth and impact. This position oversees strategic planning, program operations, financial management, and staff leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The role requires innovative thinking, operational excellence, and the ability to foster partnerships and manage resources efficiently.
Essential Job Functions:
Program Strategy, Planning, and Growth
- Develop and articulate a strategic vision for Watts of Love’s programs in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead the annual planning process for programs, setting objectives, priorities, and timelines.
- Formulate and implement long-term strategies to ensure sustainable growth and impact of the Watts of Love program.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities, trends, and areas for program expansion.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and beneficiaries to ensure alignment with their needs and expectations.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the programs team, encouraging new ideas and approaches.
- Identify potential risks to program success and develop mitigation strategies.
Program Operations and Financial Management
- Manage production of lights, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for programmatic activities.
- Manage procurement processes, logistics, and supply chain execution with product suppliers and vendors.
- Track and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of product.
- Streamline and process customs clearance protocols.
- Oversee the management of software and operating systems to support program activities.
Staff & Department Management
- Provide leadership and guidance to the programs team, including direct reports, consultants, interns, and volunteers.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure team members are meeting their goals and objectives.
Operates in compliance with all local, state and Federal laws and Watts of Love policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, International Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, strategy, or operations within the nonprofit or social impact sector.
· Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
· Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
· Familiarity with supply chain logistics, procurement processes, and inventory management.
· Strong knowledge of relevant software and operational systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Program Coordinator, Strategic Partnership Coordinator, consultants, interns, and volunteers

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
