Lifeguard

Austin Country Club in Austin, TX, a prestigious and historic private club, is seeking a qualified and dedicated seasonal Lifeguard to join our team.

As a seasonal Lifeguard, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our members and guests at the pool. HOW THIS ROLE MAKES A DIFFERENCE

As a seasonal Lifeguard at Austin Country Club, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all individuals using the pool facilities. You vigilantly monitor pool activities, respond promptly to any emergencies, and enforce pool safety rules to maintain a secure environment. In the event of an emergency, you are always prepared to act quickly, performing rescues, administering CPR, and offering first aid as necessary.

You also contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of the pool area, ensuring all equipment is in working order and that the pool environment remains inviting. Additionally, your role includes providing excellent customer service to members and guests by addressing inquiries and ensuring their overall satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
• Previous lifeguard experience is required
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong swimming skills and the ability to pass a swim test
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

SCHEDULE & LOCATION

This seasonal position works in an outdoor work environment with varying weather conditions. The flexibility to work weekends and holidays is needed.
