What you will be doing:
Duties include, but are not limited to: scheduling and coordinating appointments for patients in a medical office setting, providing administrative support to medical professionals and staff, answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments and scheduling, maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information, adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality, conduct outbound calls to convert patient referrals to scheduled appointments.
What you will need:
Experience:
- At least 1 year of recent direct experience in the front office of a specialty physician practice (or extremely similar) required; 2 years preferred
- NOTE: dental, vision, physical therapy, mental health, and chiropractic experience will not be considered towards the “specialty” requirements for this position
- At least 1 year of experience using an EMR required; Experience with ModMed / EMA preferred

- Strong knowledge and understanding of all aspects of front office operations of a specialty physician practice

- Knowledge and understanding of insurance benefits (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) and eligibility verification
- Knowledge and understanding of prior authorization / precertification

- Ability to operate in a high-paced, dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to the needs of the organization and employees
- Strong attention to detail

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
