Surgical Support Role
We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy GI Tech to join our surgical support team. As a key member of our team, you will assist with the care of patients undergoing GI/endoscopy procedures and work closely with our GI/Endoscopy Nurses to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the endoscopy unit and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the endoscopy unit
- Demonstrate expertise in the disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment
- Assist in the maintenance, care, and labeling of specimens
- Identify specimens with the surgeon and pass them to the circulating RN
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment
