JOB SUMMARY:

The Austin Habitat for Humanity (AHFH) Community Partnership Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering partnerships and securing support from corporate entities. This position operates within the AHFH Development department collaborating closely with team members to identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate donors and sponsors. The Community Partnership Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of corporate engagement and community partnerships, from initial outreach to ongoing stewardship with the aim of maximizing financial contributions and advancing the mission of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Corporate Partnership Development
    • Identify and research potential community partners including corporate, community and religious organizations that align with AHFH mission and programs
    • Develop and execute strategies to cultivate relationships with prospects
    • Collaborate with the Director of Annual Giving to create customized sponsorship proposals and pitches tailored to the interests and objectives of partners including Women Build, Build for Unity, House that Credit Unions Build and more.
    • Negotiate sponsorship agreements, ensuring mutual benefits for both the organization and sponsors.
    • Follow up with all individuals who submit interest forms for group volunteering opportunities through the AHFH website including conducting introductory phone calls to grow partnerships and the volunteer pipeline
    • In collaboration with the AHFH Engagement team, manage and schedule employee engagement opportunities including Staff Build Days
    • Participate in pre-build meeting coordination, introducing sponsors and communicating expectations and needs
    • Attend events hosted by sponsor groups to share the mission of AHFH with their workforce
    • Execute volunteer giving campaigns to assist in the conversion of volunteers to donors
  • Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all partners, maintaining regular communication to strengthen relationships and address inquiries
    • Coordinate community partner engagement activities, including sponsorship activations, employee volunteer opportunities and cause-related marketing campaigns
    • Monitor and track the fulfilment of sponsorship agreements, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget
    • Conduct regular check-ins with community partners to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities for further collaboration or support
    • Maintain sponsor communication through project completion
    • Serve as liaison for the Habitat Young Professionals group
  • Event Coordination
    • In collaboration with the AHFH Development and Events Manager, integrate sponsors into fundraising events, galas and other special initiatives
    • Ensure that sponsors receive appropriate recognition and visibility before, during and after events
    • Invite sponsors to all project dedications, coordinating their participation with AHFH staff
    • Attend all sponsor related AHFH project dedications to assist with sponsor recognition
  • Data Management and Analysis
    • Utilize Raisers Edge in order to maintain comprehensive donor records and track interactions with partners.
    • Generate reports and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of corporate fundraising strategies and identify areas for improvement
    • Continuously update donor profiles and preferences in order to enhance personalization and stewardship efforts
    • Follow up on any reporting or documentation required by sponsors as per their commitment
    • Utilize Volunteerhub to create landing pages for sponsor registration and participation in support of the Engagement team
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, Communications or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with corporate representatives, donors and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events or meetings as needed

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in corporate fundraising, sales, marketing or relationship management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge) preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the non-profit sector

COMPENSATION:

  • $55000 - $62000 annually commensurate with experience
