What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Austin Primary Care?
Austin Primary Care is looking for an experienced part time Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for our outpatient primary care practice.
We provide a competitive salary and work in one location. This position is Monday- Friday with rotating on-call and flexible hours. Office hours do not include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, patient facing.
- Effectively manage acute and chronic medical and behavioral conditions.
- Promote good health practices and preventative care.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation, including ICD 10 conditions.
- Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Conduct advanced illness and advanced care planning conversations.
- Provide patients and caregivers with counseling and education.
Skills
- Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient setting.
- Expertise in primary care, either family medicine or internal medicine.
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong ethics.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred.
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience.
Requirements
· Active and unrestricted license in the state of Ohio
- Graduate of an accredited Master of Science Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
- Active DEA license in the state of Ohio
· Board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center, with certification in one of the following:
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Adult Nurse Practitioner
