Job Title: Senior Welder

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, as well as a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG and MIG welding mild and stainless steel, aluminum and bronze
- Perform fabrication tasks according to Manufacturing Orders, specifications and drawings
- Inspects 1st Article per Manufacturing Order Instructions
- Verifies 1st Article and subsequent parts all meet specifications
- Fills in Manufacturing Order information as needed (manufacturing times, first article QA)
- Schedules weld shop production and staffing
- Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards
- Operate band saw to cut bar stock, as required
- Coordinate with production manager to order welding gas, supplies and materials in timely manner
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keeps machines and work area organized, tidy, clean, swept
- Keeps paperwork in order, clean and complete
- Performs routine machine maintenance
- Train and mentor junior welders

Requirements
- 15 years TIG experience with mile and stainless steel sheet metal
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Reads shop drawings and manufacturing instructions
- Uses basic inspection tools correctly and accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Proficient with measuring tape
- Typically stands for 3-4 hours at a time
- Able to lift/load various materials, up to 70 lbs
- Operates standard hand/shop tools and forklift
- Knows how to utilize and maintain welding machines
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in an effective manner
- Knowledge in the safe use of all shop equipment
