Responsibilities and Expectations:
The successful applicant must have the following on file before they can begin work:
Employees must follow all board policies, all state, and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Code of Ethics set up by the Ohio Department of Education. Subject to all applicable laws, essential job functions of this position include the employee being punctual and capable of completing all of the duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The successful candidate must complete any Vector/Safe Schools courses as recommended and assigned by the Administration.

Qualifications:
- Appropriate and valid Ohio Teaching License
- License Teaching Field: Moderate/Intensive required
- Specific training in the autism spectrum
- Minimum (3) years teaching experience working with students on the autism spectrum or behaviors associated with autism
- Evaluated in accordance with OTES 2.0 Framework
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Essential duties/responsibilities specific to the Lighthouse Teacher (see attached job description for details)
- Perform all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Austintown Local School District Policy and Procedures
- Follow and execute the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education, Building Principal, Director of Curriculum, and/or the Superintendent
The successful applicant must have the following on file before they can begin work:
- Appropriate and valid Ohio teaching credential
- Current favorable State and Federal background checks
- Official Sealed Transcripts
- Negative drug screen
