You will be responsible for providing legal advice and services in matters of finance, banking, and securities, ensuring the organization's adherence to laws and regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and engage in complex, high-stakes financial transactions and legal issues.Responsibilities : Provide legal guidance on a wide range of financial matters, including lending transactions, capital markets, private equity, and corporate finance.Draft, review, and negotiate various financial agreements and contracts, including loan agreements, security agreements, and other related documents.Represent the organization in legal proceedings, such as arbitrations, mediations, or court trials.Conduct due diligence in financial transactions and advise on potential risks.Collaborate with other departments to ensure the organization's financial operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.Stay abreast of developments in finance law and implement necessary changes to the organization's policies and procedures.Provide training to the organization's staff on legal matters related to finance.Develop and manage relationships with external counsel and other stakeholders.Qualifications : Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required.A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance law, preferably with a focus on banking, securities, or corporate finance.Admission to the state bar where practicing.Extensive knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to finance.Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financial agreements and contracts.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively convey legal advice to non-legal professionals.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.High ethical standards and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Proficiency in legal research tools and software.This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned legal professional with a passion for finance to make a significant impact on our organization's operations.
