Autajon Boston: Located in the greater Nashua, NH area Autajon Packaging Boston is a full-service packaging provider offering traditional folding cartons and a variety of other innovative styles. Some of our well-known customers are Lindt, Hersey, Godiva, and Ferrero Rocher. We currently employ 100 regular full-time employees year-round and roughly 80 seasonal employees. The Nashua facility is located 30 minutes outside Boston, an hour from the ocean and one and half hours from the mountains making it a great place for the outdoors person to live or to raise a family.

REPORTS TO:Printing Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant's production printing equipment and for assuring complete customer satisfaction with the quality of the printed product including exact color match. The Operator oversees the work of the Feeder and the 2nd Man positions on the Press.
PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILIES:
- Printing Press Operation high speed sheet fed printing press
- Oversees the work of the Feeder and the 2nd Man
- Hangs plates on press
- Loads ink in press
- Performs frequent color match utilizing computerized equipment
- Is responsible for press speed and the efficient use of the press
- Performs frequent quality checks and approvals as per policy
- Inspects the finished product for quality prior to its moving on to Die Cutting.
- Helps to keep the work area clean and
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
High school education or GED required.
Previous experience in sheet fed printing required
Ability to read and write and communicate in English in order to follow written and verbal job instruction
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be attentive to detail with excellent eye for color
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Excellent manual dexterity
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive manual tasks.
Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must learn and comply with all Autajon Packaging Boston safety rules; must use appropriate safety equipment at all times; must immediately report all unsafe condition to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features or equipment, machinery, or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisor if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
