Authentic Connections Counseling & Wellness LLC is a holistic mental health and wellness practice dedicated to providing integrative care that nurtures the mind and body. Currently, our services include psychotherapy and coaching. We are currently seeking a licensed psychologist to join our team and focus solely on psychological assessments and testing.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented psychologist to conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. This role is assessment-based only and does not include therapy services. The ideal candidate has experience in administering, scoring, and interpreting a variety of psychological tests and providing comprehensive diagnostic reports.
Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments, including cognitive, neuropsychological, academic, personality, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Conduct clinical interviews and gather collateral information to inform assessments.
- Provide detailed, well-written, and comprehensive evaluation reports with diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
- Collaborate with other mental health providers within the practice to offer holistic, client-centered care.
- Ensure ethical and evidence-based assessment practices in accordance with state licensure and APA guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all assessments and reports.
- Stay up to date with current research and best practices in psychological testing and assessment.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- Active licensure as a psychologist in Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting psychological assessments.
- Strong proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized psychological tests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while collaborating with a team.
- Experience working with neurodivergent individuals, trauma survivors, or holistic mental health approaches is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Experience with forensic, educational, or neuropsychological assessments.
- Knowledge of integrative or somatic approaches to mental health.
