What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shared Living Provider position at Autism Center of Nebraska, Inc.?
The Autism Center of Nebraska, Inc. (ACN) is looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to become a Shared Living Provider (SLP) in the Omaha area. Our SLP’s provide a home where an individual who has a developmental disability would live. The SLP is paid to support the individual and is responsible for teaching a variety of independent living skills such as maintaining the home, meal preparation, grocery shopping, proper hygiene, and assisting the individual in participating in community activities. This position also involves documentation, medication administration, doctor’s visits and transportation.
ACN’s goal is to match the individual with a SLP where there is an excellent chance for success and a long-term relationship to be established. The residence of the prospective SLP is assessed to ensure not only a comfortable but safe environment.
Required trainings are provided and background checks administered.

Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to clearly speak and understand English
- Valid driver's license
- Current vehicle, homeowners/renters, and professional liability insurance
- Reliable transportation
