Job Description

A Program Coordinator (Level 1) at Autism Matters is responsible for the clinical oversight and decision making for a caseload of up to 8 clients and their team of providers. Primary responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Observation and Direction of therapy sessions, and collaboration with clinical team members. The goal of a Program Coordinator is to assure clients are receiving individualized treatment to reach clinical goals and positively impact client outcomes. A Program Coordinator is client-focused, ethical, dedicated to best practice, and supportive of a positive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications And Educational Requirements

  • Must meet Level 1 and/or Level 2 qualifications for education and/or experience:
    • Level 1: (must meet both bullet points)
      • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in one of the mental health professional disciplines or possess a master’s degree in a mental health field
      • Possess 2,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training
  • Be available to work a daily schedule of 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday. Autism Matters will review other availability and scheduling requests on a case by case basis.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Oversight and Decision Making:

  • Maintain a caseload of 4-8 clients
  • Complete clinical programming for clients under the direction of a BCBA
  • Develop and updates client individualized treatment and behavior plans and any other required supporting documents
  • Provide Observation and Direction to clients on caseload across sessions to assess procedural integrity, monitor client progress, and inform clinical decisions
  • Frequently analyzes data and graphic displays and uses interpretation to make programmatic revisions
  • Inform client’s Senior Behavior Therapist of new and upcoming programming changes for clients on caseload
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration during meetings, overlaps, and trainings
  • Participate in client intake assessments and development of materials prior to start of services
  • Obtain information from medical records, staff, family members, and the clients to assess clients' capabilities, needs, and interests
  • Monitor prior authorization approval dates and completes documentation to assure continuity of services
  • Complete coordination of care with members of child’s care team including but not limited to SLP, OT, Psychologist, Primary Care Provider, School District, and/or PCA to develop client- centered treatment plans
  • Complete and maintains timely and effective written documentation of all client services with minimal errors
  • Provide BCBA/BCaBA/RBT supervision, if applicable
  • Provide documentation to aid in clinical performance meetings to the Clinic Director, Program Manager, or Director of Clinical Services, as needed.

Client-Focused Therapy:

  • Deliver 1:1 and 2:1 therapy using behavior analysis principles
  • Adhere to individualized treatment plans targeting specific goals
  • Demonstrate the consistent use of positive and proactive behavior management techniques as well as reactive strategies based on clients’ individualized behavior plans.
  • Collect data and complete session documentation accurately
  • Apply supervisor feedback to enhance therapy and improve client outcomes
  • Conduct Family Caregiver Training and Counseling in order to provide support and consistency across environments

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services (any billable client-related activity), as outlined above, during 80% of scheduled hours
  • Schedule, prepare, participate in, and conduct staff and/or client meetings and trainings
  • Maintain personal work schedule to meet client and clinic needs and manage time effectively to meet assigned deadlines and productivity standards
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe therapeutic environment
  • Adhere to the ethical code of supervising professionals (LPCC, BCBA, LICSW, etc.)
  • Model professional demeanor and ethical behavior across all settings
  • Uphold company values of being client-focused, ethical, supportive, dedicated, and having integrity
  • Participate in community outreach events
  • Address and/or provide feedback in the moment in regards to client programming such as safety concerns, implementation errors, cleaning up after sessions, mealtimes/bathroom routines, and productivity if programming is not implemented in a significant amount of time
  • Demonstrate willingness and flexibility in meeting client, family and agency needs
  • Complete other duties as designated by supervisor

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and navigating Electronic Medical Records Systems
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client-centered and family-centered quality services meeting client and family satisfaction
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders
  • Knowledge of Behavior Analytic principles, graphing conventions, and clinical decision making

  • Social Perceptiveness and Coordination: being aware of others’ reactions, understanding why they react as they do, and adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions
  • Reading Comprehension, Speaking and Writing: communicating effectively verbally or in written form
