Description

Responsible for outreach, recruitment, selection, hiring and placement for all positions primarily working directly with individuals with autism within a region. Position is also responsible for various HR duties in compliance with organization policies, goals and objectives. Must be proficient with MS Office, and possess strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information. The role requires an ability to network professionally, multi-task, strong organization skills with attention to detail and time management, and the able to work with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sources, recruits, and screens candidates for all open positions utilizing a variety of methods, resources and activities for various roles primarily working directly with individuals with autism.
  • Collaborates with Directors and Coordinators of all program service lines within the region to ascertain personnel needs.
  • Participates in recruitment strategy planning with Recruiting Manager and relevant staff in support of mission and organizational goals.
  • Schedules, attends, and coordinates participation of key staff in recruiting and outreach events.
  • Builds rapport and develops relationships with client and client families to understand unique needs of individual clients to ensure successful matching with qualified candidates.
  • Interviews candidates with authority to extend offers and make hiring decisions for paraprofessional and entry level positions and makes recommendations regarding candidates for professional positions to Directors.
  • Determines hourly wage for part-time and full-time hourly personnel in adherence with established pay structure and policy.
  • Manages the pre-employment and onboarding process in collaboration with regional and centralized staff.
  • Conducts new employee orientation, facilitates benefits enrollment for eligible employees, and coordinates all required training for new hires in collaboration with Directors of service lines.
  • Coordinates with regional staff to establish schedules for newly hired Autism Support Professionals.
  • Serves as regional administrator of applicant tracking system to manage recruitment cycle.
  • Provides in-depth and timely reporting on workforce data (number of open positions, active and inactive employees) to regional management, and statewide leadership as needed.
  • Maintains data for various metrics associated with recruitment cycle, such as timeframes, hiring ratios, etc.
  • Facilitates off-boarding activities for departing hourly employees.
  • Initiate submission of all HR related changes (pay rates, terminations, personal leave, FMLA, name changes, etc.), in adherence with documentation and processes determined by the State Office HR Team.
  • Acts as local site contact for all employee benefits questions and activities, to include workers compensation and leaves of absences. Works closely with corporate HR team concerning annual benefits open enrollment. Fields questions from employees and disseminates information as needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Director of Human Resources or Recruiting Manager.

  • Understanding of services provision for individuals with disabilities and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with autism and their loved ones.
  • Understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures around staffing/recruitment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work with minimal supervision and with cross-departmental guidance/supervision.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material in an appropriate manner, ensuring continued confidentiality of information.
  • Strong ability to multi-task between departments and staff, including ability to track and monitor hires in process for multiple departments. Strong organizational skills are a must with good time management.

Qualifications


High School Diploma required. Minimum of one-year recruiting/sales experience preferred. Human services experience a plus.
