We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through their automotive service needs while ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Your expertise in automotive service management and sales will be crucial in upselling services and providing accurate information regarding repairs and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including air brake systems, shocks and struts, brake repair, oil changes, and other automotive services.
- Utilize your knowledge of automotive sales to recommend additional services that enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Manage service appointments efficiently, ensuring timely completion of work while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history in the management system.
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure clear communication regarding customer needs and service expectations.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive service or a related field.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including air brakes, shocks and struts, brake repair, and general maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell services effectively.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers with varying levels of automotive knowledge.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A background as a mechanic is a plus but not mandatory; however, familiarity with automotive terminology is essential.
- A valid driver's license is required.
